Seylynn Hall has been open since March of 1996, operated by high school aged volunteers. We do shows on Saturday nights every two weeks.

Have you ever wanted to book your own show? Are you frustrated that you never get to see your favourite band play? Do you want your band to have more shows? Join The Seylynn Committee!

How do I join the committee?

Let us know you are interested by emailing us at Seylynn@gmail.com.

What does membership on the committee entail?

Committee members are expected to attend meetings every second week to help organise the shows, and be at the shows to volunteer for a 1 hour shift.
Committee members may also book dates at Seylynn to put together their own shows.

How do I get my band to play at Seylynn Hall?

Email us at Seylynn@gmail.com.

Shows are booked by the group of volunteers known as The Seylynn Committee. Each show is organised by one of the committee members with help from the rest of committee. Each member has discretion in choosing who will play on her/his show, so if you don’t get booked right away, please keep in touch -- we’ll try to get your band in as soon as we can. Shows are usually booked well in advance, so please don’t get your hopes up if you’re emailing us asking to play in 2 weeks!

How can I help Seylynn Hall?

Join the committee!

If this is not possible, there are opportunities for different kinds of help:

-If you know someone in a band you would like to see at Seylynn Hall, talk to them about playing at Seylynn, and get them in touch with us.

-We can always use more hands to help put up posters and promote shows.

-Discounts on sound equipment or other gear for the hall.

-And we’re happy to receive any of the following types of gifts!

1. microphone cables (XLR)
2. microphone stands
3. a collapsible stage
4. miscellaneous stuff you can think of that you think would make Seylynn Hall a nicer place to visit

All new equipment purchased for the hall comes from money the committee has saved over the years, and the bills add up!

How do I get my link on the Seylynn Hall site?

If you have ever been involved with Seylynn Hall, either by playing in a band here or helping out in any other way, please email us with your link and we'll try to get it up there as fast as possible.
